| IMPORTANT REGULATION AMENDMENT FOR R&D AND DESIGN CENTERS – ON THE REGULATION OF LAW NO. 5746 The Regulation on the Amendment of the Implementation and Audit Regulation on Supporting R&D and Design Activities No. 5746 entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated August 25, 2022 and numbered 31934. With the amending regulation, the new practices introduced by the Law No. 7263 on the Amendment of the Technology Development Law and Certain Laws published on February 3, 2021 have been incorporated into the Regulation on Law No. 5746. On the other hand, some changes have been made in some expressions. | CHANGES IN E-COMMERCE CONTRACTS The Regulation on Distance Contracts was amended in the Official Gazette dated August 23, 2022. The relevant amendments generally update the concepts such as intermediary service provider and platform to comply with the recently amended Electronic Commerce Law. Cases where intermediary service providers are jointly liable with service providers, updated. In most provisions, the joint liability of intermediary service providers is regulated.
