CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFERS IN TURKEY AND TURKISH PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION BOARDS’ DECISION ON CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFER

With the Tax Procedure Law General Communiqué No. 542 published in the Official Gazette dated 24.11.2022, the revaluation rate was determined as 122.93% for the year 2022.
The increase in administrative fines applied under Article 18 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (the “Law”) will be determined according to the revaluation rate. Accordingly, we have shown the amounts of administrative fines that can be applied by the Personal Data Protection Authority for the year 2023 in the table below.
